    Muse AI Tutorial:
    Five Things to Try First

I thought this would be another chatbot with a weird name. Then it cleaned up my LinkedIn, found the email that mattered, and spotted my chess mistakes. Here's how to try the same kinds of tasks.

Start with one connection, one goal, and your approval before anything irreversible.

    Less chatting.
    More getting things done.

The full test: setup, five everyday workflows, token usage, and the things I didn't love. My experience—not a promise that every task will run perfectly for you.

    What you can hand off

Keep your judgment. Lose the busywork.

    A daily coach

I'm around 1300 rapid on Chess.com, trying to reach 1500. Muse pulled my games, spotted exposed-king mistakes, and surfaced material worth practicing. Your version could use workout logs or another repeatable activity.

    A content production assistant

Muse checked vidIQ against the news, suggested ideas without repeats, then drafted the hook, structure, and chapters for the idea I chose. I still film, bring my own taste, and make the final call. A Notion dashboard is what I want to try next—not something I've already built.

    A LinkedIn inbox cleanup

I asked Muse to review the backlog, separate real conversations from cold pitches, and bring me a list first. After I approved it, 156 spam threads were removed. The useful conversations stayed. Start with a small batch you can inspect.

An inbox that protects your attention

My Gmail check runs every 30 minutes. I only want interruptions for real people, direct questions, deadlines inside 24 hours, or urgent keywords. Newsletters, promotions, and routine shipping updates can wait. Check the early results against your inbox before trusting it.

    One meaningful goal

The other four examples are just goals with useful data attached. Tell Muse what you're trying to achieve and what done looks like. Let it propose a plan, then decide what it may do on its own and where it must stop for you.

You still make the final call

Let it research, sort, and draft. Review the evidence and approve the exact action before it changes anything important.

    How it works

Three steps to your first useful task.

Don't connect your whole life on day one. Get a small win and earn some trust first.

    1. Step 01

      Create your account

Go to muse.ai/join and create an account. The video shows signup without an invite code. Start with the free option if it is available; you do not need to commit to a paid plan to test one useful task.

      Open Muse signup
    2. Step 02

Connect one source you actually use

Find the app connections in Muse and choose one relevant source, such as Gmail or Chess.com. Review the permissions before authorizing it, then ask Muse to retrieve a small recent sample so you know the connection works. Do not paste passwords into chat. Only connect work or health information if you are permitted and comfortable doing so.

    3. Step 03

Give it a goal and approval boundaries

Choose one workflow below, replace the bracketed details, and ask for a plan. Confirm that Muse can reach the data and that any recurring task is actually scheduled. Keep deletion, messages, publishing, and spending behind explicit approval. Compare the first results against the original source.

    Starter prompts

Give it a job. Not just a question.

These are adapted starter prompts based on the workflows in my video, not word-for-word quotes. Replace the brackets with your own details.

    1. A daily coach

    01:05
My Chess.com username is [username]. My current rapid rating is [rating] and my goal is [target]. Review my recent games each morning. Find one recurring mistake, explain it using a specific game, and give me one thing to practice today. Tell me if you cannot access the games; do not invent moves or analysis.

    2. A content production assistant

    02:35
My channel covers [topic] for [audience]. Each morning, use my connected vidIQ data and current news to suggest three video ideas. Include the evidence, a hook, and why each fits my audience. Keep a list of past suggestions so you do not repeat them. Wait for me to pick an idea before drafting a script with chapters. Ask before emailing or publishing anything.

    3. A LinkedIn inbox cleanup

    04:43
Review [a small batch of] my LinkedIn inbox threads. Separate real conversations, obvious cold pitches, and uncertain cases. Bring me a proposed cleanup list with a reason for each thread. Keep uncertain cases. Do not delete, archive, reply, or change anything until I explicitly approve the exact list.

    4. An inbox that protects your attention

    06:02
Check my connected Gmail every 30 minutes if scheduled checks are supported. Only surface people I know, direct questions, deadlines within 24 hours, and these urgent keywords: [keywords]. Keep newsletters, promotions, and routine shipping updates in a separate summary. For each important message, show the sender, deadline, and next action. Do not send replies, delete messages, or change labels without approval. Tell me whether the recurring check is actually scheduled.

    5. One meaningful goal

    07:32
My goal is [meaningful result]. Done looks like [measurable outcome] by [date]. Use only these connected sources: [sources]. Build a plan and tell me what access or information is missing. Work on research and drafts in the background if supported, and check in [cadence]. Ask before deleting, sending, publishing, purchasing, or sharing anything. Confirm which tasks are actually running rather than just planned.

    Start free, if available

Try one goal before buying more room.

My optional referral code is XWCVCR. The offer in the video gives each of us 1 billion bonus tokens if redeemed within 48 hours. It describes them as non-expiring, but availability is limited and the promotion can change or end.

Referral disclosure: I receive bonus tokens too if you redeem my code. Confirm the current offer and credited balance in Muse; signup does not require my code.

What it cost in the video

Recorded plan terms—not live pricing. Check Muse's current settings before paying.

Muse plan prices and weekly allowances quoted in the video
    PlanMonthly priceTokens per week
    Free$0100,000,000
    Power$20500,000,000
    Maximum$1003,000,000,000

I used about 48% of the free allowance in a little over two days of heavy testing. Watch your usage for a couple of weeks. Only pay when the limits are actually getting in your way.

    Where I still step in

Chat felt slow. A ticket purchase reached an AXS human-verification wall, and I had to finish it myself. I haven't let Muse spend a dollar of my money. Start with read-only work, inspect its results, and never treat a plan as proof that a task ran.
