# Lovable SEO + Semrush Checklist

The hidden Semrush integration inside Lovable — how to find it, how to use it,
and the exact prompts I run. Companion to the video:

---

## 1. Where the feature lives

1. Open your Lovable project.
2. Look at the tabs across the top: Preview / Files / Code.
3. Far right there's a **More** tab (looks like a stack of papers).
4. Scroll to the bottom → **SEO & AI Search**. That's the Semrush integration.

Inside you'll find two things:

- **SEO & AI Search Review** — an on-demand audit that scans your project for
  common technical SEO mistakes.
- **Research SEO with Lovable** — live Semrush keyword + competitor data,
  no Semrush account required.

---

## 2. Why Lovable sites can rank now

- **Server-side rendering** ships the full HTML on the first crawl for new apps.
- **Automatic prerendering** for verified search-engine crawlers on older sites.
- Real proof: a site built entirely in Lovable ranks top-3 for a competitive
  product term, indexed in 2–3 days. No tricks — just the basics done right.

## 3. Keyword research prompts

Paste these into the SEO & AI Search chat:

```
What are good keywords for a [your business / topic]?
Show search volume and ranking difficulty for each.
```

```
What are my competitors ranking for around "[your main keyword]"?
Who is actually showing up for that term?
```

```
What are lower-competition keywords related to "[your main keyword]"?
I want terms where the searcher is closer to buying.
```

```
Build a page optimized for "[chosen keyword]" with the details buyers need
and a clear way to contact us. Follow SEO best practices from the start.
```

---

## 4. Audit checklist (what the review checks)

- [ ] Unique, non-duplicate `<title>` on every page (under 60 characters)
- [ ] Unique meta description on every page (under 160 characters)
- [ ] Exactly one `<h1>` per page, logical heading order below it
- [ ] Alt text on every meaningful image
- [ ] `sitemap.xml` present and listing every public route
- [ ] `robots.txt` not accidentally blocking crawlers
- [ ] No broken internal links
- [ ] Page speed / performance not dragging pages down

Fix in bulk: instead of editing ten pages by hand, ask
`Fix the missing meta descriptions across the site.`

## 5. Cost notes

- Standalone Semrush runs roughly $140/month.
- Scanning your project inside Lovable is free — no credits used.
- Credits only apply when you act on recommendations. Basic keyword research
  is typically 1–2 credits.
- This pricing may not last. Use it while it's this cheap.

---

## 6. The loop

Build → Run the review → Apply the fixes → Publish.

Repeat every time you add pages.
